Britney Spears: I Looked Like Fat Pig at MTV Awards Show

Pop princess Britney Spears was reportedly "inconsolable" after watching her widely criticized comeback performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas Sunday night.

"She was able to see video of herself throughout the auditorium. She flipped out. She came running off the stage, yelling, "Oh, my God, I looked like a fat pig!" She was inconsolable," a backstage source told US Weekly.The embattled star gave her first major performance in three years, presenting her new single "Gimme More", dressed in a sparkly bra and black bikini. The show followed a troubled 12 months, during which she was admitted to rehab after shaving her head in public, following the collapse of her second marriage.

Spears put her music career on hold in 2004 when she married Kevin Federline and gave birth to two children. Last month the pair completed their divorce, but are still facing a battle for custody of their sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
