Realtor to Stars Linda Stein Found Murdered
Linda Stein, the former manager of The Ramones and real estate agent to the stars, has been murdered in her New York home, Fox News reported.
Her personal assistant is now being questioned according to reports. Police have launched a homicide investigation, after an autopsy revealed she had died from blunt force trauma to the head and neck. There were no signs of forced entry to her Fifth Avenue home.
Police believe that she let the killer into her apartment willingly. According to a report from AHN, Stein's daughter Mandy discovered her mother's dead body in her USD 2.5 M New York apartment this past Tuesday and police are now beginning questioning on all potential suspects. Among those included on the list are Stein's former Italian lover, Francisco Arena, her ex-assistant, Raoul Garcia Bernal, and several up-scale drug dealers who Stein bought marijuana from.
Gothamist is reporting that Stein fired Bernal just a few months ago after a dispute over commission. Additionally, the Daily News reports that Stein's friends told the police to also look for "high-end marijuana dealers" The New York Post notes in one of their reports that Stein - who had long battled cancer - had relied upon Bernal to help her with errands, and he had the keys to her posh Fifth Avenue apartment, where she was found bludgeoned to death, the sources said. But as she recovered from the cancer, "she didn't need him anymore," one source told the paper.Investigators have determined that Stein, 62, was bludgeoned and died from multiple blows to the head and neck.
